My Story

I am a Nigerian American Black Woman originally from Houston, Tx. I moved to New York City to acquire my Masters degrees in Mental health Counseling from Teachers College Columbia University.

My approach to therapy is relational- cultural as well as Psychodynamic. I believe it is important to look at the history behind certain patterns that are showing up in your life, so that you can begin to shift these patterns and start living the life you want.

Therapy with me is always from a Multicultural space addressing issues such as: race, marginalization, capitalism, and oppression. I think that identity is important to how we understand ourselves in the world and it is equally important that identity is always a part of the therapeutic work.

When I’m not in session, I’m usually playing with my puppy Nairobi, axe throwing, reading, or watching everything on HBO, Netflix, and Hulu.
