Therapy for Authors & Writers

Outside of my work as a therapist, I have learned so much about myself and the world around me through reading. I have attended and hosted many author talks and the one topic that always comes up is mental health. In an effort to blend my two worlds together, I am expanding my practice to work with authors. There’s a lot that comes with being a writer and an author, especially writers and authors of color and I am dedicated to being a support system and a safe space.

Deluxe $2500

Weekly 45 minute sessions for 3 months

Premium $1300

45 minute sessions, 2x a month for 3 months

About me

My name is Wale Okerayi LMHC, LPC and I am a licensed mental health counselor working with folks in New York, Texas, and Florida. I have a double Masters degree in mental health counseling from Teachers College Columbia University and have 6 years of clinical experience. 

I have been able to tie my love of reading and mental health by hosting author talks and by hosting a podcast called Kindred Sessions in partnership with the best bookstore in the world, Kindred Stories.
